Being presented by the trade association with the highest safety award of the minerals industry is recognition of a team effort expressed by Adam Taylor, Operations Manager for Lhoist UK:

“This award belongs to our employees, contractors, customers, suppliers, and everyone who regularly visits and works on our sites. Their commitment, care for one another, and willingness to challenge unsafe conditions and behaviours are what make the difference.

This recognition reflects years of work building a culture where safety is embedded in everything we do—not treated as a separate activity. We have made significant progress on our journey towards an interdependent safety culture, where everyone takes ownership not only for their own safety, but also for the safety of those around them.

While we are proud of this achievement, we know it is not the finish line. Recent incidents across our industry remind us why safety must remain our absolute priority and why continuous improvement is so important.

Through collaboration across MPA Lime, the wider industry and the Lhoist Group, we will continue learning, sharing and raising standards together.

Congratulations to everyone involved. This recognition is yours. What an achievement. Thank you.”
